This paper outlines research conducted by one of our PhD candidates, Dr. Kim, during his time here as an international student at UTokyo. A research paper drafted in collaboration with an alumni member (now working in the Japanese construction industry) and Dr. Petr Matous of the University of Sydney has been published in the American Society of Civil Engineer’s (ASCE) Journal of Management in Engineering. The paper is entitled “Exploring Internationally Operated Construction Projects through the Critical Incident Technique”, and describes an ambitious project to analyze the rich and critical experiences of practitioners managing construction projects all over the globe.
